Dairy operator killed after Mahindra Thar collides with scooter in Jaipur
A 57-year-old dairy operator died when a speeding Mahindra Thar struck his scooter from behind in Jaipur's Sanganer area, according to police.
Naval Sharma, a 57-year-old dairy operator from Buddhsinghpura in Sanganer, was killed after his scooter was allegedly rear-ended by a speeding Mahindra Thar on Saturday morning. The collision occurred near 6 am as Sharma headed to his dairy, and the Thar driver fled the spot. Passersby alerted police, and Sharma was rushed to SMS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police DCP East Ranjeeta Sharma confirmed that CCTV footage shows the black Thar approaching at high speed and striking the moving scooter, causing it to fall. A post-mortem was completed on Sunday, and the body was released to Sharma’s family. An inquest has been registered, and investigators are working to identify and apprehend the vehicle’s driver.
