Davao Mayor Baste Duterte says he knows nothing of sister's stake in GenCorp

Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte said he is unaware that Vice President Sara Duterte holds an interest in GenCorp Industries and affirmed that the city's contracts with the firm are proper.

The mayor clarified that he does not know of any ownership link between his sister, Vice President Sara Duterte, and GenCorp Industries. He also stated that all agreements between the city and the company are legitimate. According to the mayor, the city has engaged GenCorp in 19 contracts, totaling P33.2 million, with 13 completed and six still in progress. He emphasized that city officials and employees are conducting the transactions transparently.
