Delhi police caution CJP over crowd control ahead of large Jantar Mantar rally

Footage captured at Jantar Mantar reveals senior Delhi Police officers confronting Cockroach Janata Party representatives about inadequate crowd-management preparations for their anti-NEET paper-leak protest. The police indicated that, despite repeated requests on July 19 and 20, the organizers had not assigned enough volunteers, and they warned that criminal elements were present in the crowd. Officers stressed that the site was not intended for a protest of this magnitude without proper planning.

The CJP spokespersons, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das, were told that failure to act could make the gathering unmanageable. In parallel, the party’s core committee is slated to convene at founder Abhijeet Dipke’s residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on August 5, where members will gather feedback and plan a press conference. The protest had previously drawn nationwide attention and contributed to Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
