DeSantis says Florida will shelter juror who faced abuse allegations

Governor Ron DeSantis responded on social media, accusing the outlet of smearing the juror and offering him asylum in Florida if he faced harassment.

Court records show the juror’s criminal charge was dismissed after his ex-wife withdrew, fearing loss of child custody. Other jurors noted the holdout’s unusual behavior during deliberations, including using a rubber band from the case to simulate the murders, a claim made by juror Dargie.
