Feijóo to Hold Madrid Rally with Ayuso and Almeida Ahead of General Election

According to sources, Alberto Núñez Feijóo will open his campaign in Madrid on Saturday, sharing the stage with mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Community of Madrid president Isabel Díaz Ayuso. Party insiders said the gathering underscores the Partido Popular’s dominance in a region where it enjoys an absolute majority, contrasting with the PSOE’s former stronghold in Andalusia. Since the election call, Feijóo has been active, appearing at the national party headquarters, attending a family business congress, and visiting a market in the Tetuán neighbourhood.

The opposition, led by Sánchez, has been to Ceuta with its president Vivas for a media briefing before a recent royal visit. The PP framed these moves as evidence that it is steering the political and communicative thrust of the campaign, urging Spaniards that they are 53 days away from ending Sánchez’s government.
