FIC Global aims for $2 billion revenue from expanded Johor plant by 2027

Taiwan-listed FIC Global plans to boost its Senai facility in Johor from eight to 18 production lines, targeting $2 billion in revenue by 2027 as customers shift supply chains away from China.

FIC Global, a Taiwan-listed firm, is targeting $2 billion in revenue from its Johor operations by 2027, driven by an expansion of its $50 million Senai plant. The subsidiary PRO3C will raise the number of production lines from eight to 18 in the coming year and plans a rapid quadrupling of the plant’s footprint, aiming for $100 million in monthly sales before further growth. The facility currently serves Coherent, an optical company that requested capacity outside China, and will attract additional clients seeking to diversify supply chains.

While Chinese sites will focus on local customers, the Johor plant will serve the rest of the world, complemented by a Singapore logistics and R&D hub under the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone twinning strategy. Chairman Leo Chien emphasized talent over low costs, noting proximity to Singapore as a draw for engineers. The expansion reflects a broader shift from “China plus one” to “China plus N” supply-chain diversification across Asia.

Why it matters

The expansion shows how Asian manufacturers are reshaping supply chains amid geopolitical tensions, creating new jobs and tech hubs in Malaysia.
