Fidesz declares MP Hankó Balázs a political prisoner and rejects any mandate surrender

According to Havasi Bertalan, the Fidesz party views Hankó Balázs as a political detainee who has not committed any crime. He added that authorities are reluctant to charge the lawmaker with financial misconduct. The party argues that forcing Balázs to give up his mandate would amount to yielding to what it calls "new-communist" arbitrariness. Fidesz also claims that Hungary has become a place where innocent legislators are treated as prisoners.
