Filipino suspect allegedly organized Laos-to-Manila meth shipment via private jet

Authorities say a Filipino individual is suspected of planning to move over half a tonne of crystal meth from Laos to Manila using a chartered private aircraft.

The Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department identified a Filipino as the alleged mastermind behind a scheme to transport a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine from Laos to the Philippines. The plan involved hiring a private jet for a fee of US$49,500 (RM202,250). Malaysian police shared intelligence with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to aid in locating and apprehending the suspect.
