Former defence minister praises new minister's commitment to ongoing military programmes

Radu Miruță announced on Facebook that he had been sent a mission letter by the designated prime minister Siegfried Mureșan for the Defence Ministry. He welcomed the fact that the new minister’s outlined directions preserve the programmes Miruță launched during his tenure. The former minister listed five essential priorities: accelerating the army’s equipage with modern, locally produced combat systems; upgrading air, naval and military infrastructure; advancing digital capabilities to counter drone threats; investing in human resources for the armed forces; and sustaining defence collaborations with the United States, the European Union and NATO.

Miruță argued that such continuity is vital because national security extends beyond any single ministerial term. He concluded by wishing Mureșan success in his new role.
