Genting Malaysia and Alibaba Cloud sign MoU to explore AI and cloud solutions
Genting Malaysia Bhd and Alibaba Cloud (Malaysia) have agreed to study AI and cloud computing uses across Genting's operations.
Genting Malaysia Bhd and Alibaba Cloud (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd formalised a memorandum of understanding aimed at exploring artificial intelligence and cloud computing applications throughout Genting's diverse businesses. The agreement sets a framework for both parties to examine possible benefits for staff productivity, operational efficiency and the experience offered to guests. Deputy chief executive and executive director Datuk Indera Lim Keong Hui said the arrangement allows the group to evaluate options before committing to broader adoption.
The MoU expands on an earlier collaboration at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, where AI and cloud tools were trialled for visitor services. Alibaba Cloud Malaysia general manager Choong Hon Keat confirmed the companies will assess further use cases across Genting’s functions. The signing took place at Alibaba Group’s headquarters in Hangzhou, China, and does not obligate either side to specific deployments.
