Greek FA chief and former Germany director rally behind UEFA's call to oust Infantino

At a UEFA Executive Committee gathering in Thessaloniki, Greek FA president Makis Gagatsis announced that his association no longer supports Gianni Infantino after what he described as unacceptable actions surrounding the World Cup and a failed plan to sell tournament rights. Former Germany national team director Oliver Bierhoff echoed the sentiment, stating that recent developments have shattered confidence in Infantino's direction for football.

UEFA, together with the Asian Football Confederation and CONCACAF, has been vocal in demanding new leadership at FIFA. Although FIFA briefly abandoned the commercial-stake proposal and apologized, its leadership continues to back Infantino after an August crisis meeting in Morocco. The governing body faces a deadline in mid-November to nominate an alternative presidential candidate, with no clear frontrunner yet identified. Danish football chief Jesper Moller said European colleagues will keep searching for a candidate who can secure a majority.
