Grindeanu urges PNL to join PSD government, blames liberal policies for economic slowdown
PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu called on PNL to enter a coalition, accusing the liberals of policies that have stalled the economy and hurt citizens.
Sorin Grindeanu posted on Facebook urging PNL leader Ilie Bolojan to become part of a governing coalition with PSD, asserting that liberal policies have caused an economic deadlock and increased hardships for Romanians. He highlighted soaring prices, stagnant wages, and a downward trend for businesses, insisting that the public’s discontent is genuine. Grindeanu described a change of direction as acknowledging failed measures and adopting a realistic program that protects citizens’ finances, stating that PNL’s participation would be a correct decision for the country.
Bolojan responded by claiming PSD, with AUR’s support, toppled the previous government and rejected the Mureșan cabinet for maintaining the same course. He argued that PSD now seeks to showcase a new direction while blaming PNL for obstructing it, and warned that without PNL, PSD would lack a scapegoat for unmet promises.
