Husband to face murder charge for killing MCBA officer in Nilai

A 37-year-old man will be charged tomorrow with murdering his wife, an MCBA officer, after a domestic dispute in Nilai.

Nilai police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya confirmed that a 37-year-old man will be formally charged with murder tomorrow at the Seremban magistrate's court under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The alleged victim, 35-year-old Norhazwani Ibrahim, served as an officer with the Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency and was discovered dead in her home within the KLIA Quarters around 7 p.m. on Oct 15. The husband, who had recently completed a prison sentence for drug offenses, turned himself in at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi police station in Sepang shortly after the incident.

Authorities say the motive appears to be a domestic dispute triggered by the wife's divorce filing while her husband was still incarcerated. The autopsy indicated death from neck compression, with additional stab wounds to the abdomen and cheek. The suspect is expected to face a murder trial beginning tomorrow morning.
