IHC orders police chief to appear over alleged raids on PTI leaders' homes

In a petition filed by PTI leaders Malik Aamir Dogar and Shoaib Shaheen, the Islamabad High Court ordered the senior superintendent of police (operations) to appear on September 24 to answer allegations of illegal raids on party members' homes ahead of a scheduled long march. The court hearing, presided over by Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas, also sought a restraining order against police intrusion into private residences.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court Bar Association issued a statement decrying repeated harassment and unlawful detention of lawyers, calling on the inspector general of police to halt such conduct. Security measures in the capital include the placement of over 2,000 containers at key points, and the government has detained three of Imran Khan's sisters and dozens of PTI workers in various cities. A separate petition seeks the recovery of MNA Sanaullah Mastikhel, who was taken from Parliament Lodges without a warrant, and a trader has filed a contempt petition against PTI MP Junaid Akbar for comments about the march.
