Israeli gunfire and air strikes kill at least five people in Gaza

Israeli forces have killed five people in Gaza City and northern Gaza through gunfire and air strikes, with additional injuries reported.

Medical sources say three people were shot dead by Israeli gunfire in Gaza City and the north of the territory on Thursday. A separate Israeli strike on a vehicle in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood killed two more and wounded three. An additional air strike in al-Tawam north of Gaza City caused casualties, though the exact number remains unknown.
