Jászai Gellért and 4iG file criminal complaint against former minister Vályi-Nagy

On Friday, Jászai Gellért and 4iG Nyrt. announced they are filing a criminal complaint against former government minister Vályi-Nagy Vilmos, accusing him of spreading unverified and defamatory claims in a Partizán interview. The interview, released in two parts, featured Vályi-Nagy discussing a past meeting with former Orbán-government secretary and alleging that the state directed Antenna Hungária’s repurchase. 4iG asserts that the interview contains serious factual mistakes, misleading shifts and outright false statements about both the businessman and the company.

According to the firms, Gellért does not know Vályi-Nagy and has no direct or indirect working relationship with him, undermining any claim of insider knowledge. They also claim Vályi-Nagy has been attempting to collect information from Gellért’s circle through conspiratorial means while disseminating falsehoods to damage the entrepreneur. The companies warn that such allegations could harm 4iG’s market perception, influence investor choices and manipulate its stock price, and they are also examining the legal liability of Partizán’s editorial team.
