Jefferson-Wooden finished the women's 200 m in 21.47 seconds, just 0.13 seconds shy of the all-time record, while Bednarek clocked 19.52 seconds in the men's 200 m, ranking as the seventh-best performance in history.

Field events saw Italian high-jumper Gianmarco Tamberi clear 2.37 m and Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesh Pathirage launch 91.09 m. The event concluded with a mixed 4 × 400 m relay won by the United States.
