Jury to Tour Paddington Home Linked to Beau Lamarre-Condon Double Murder
Jurors will visit the Paddington residence where former officer Beau Lamarre-Condon is accused of killing TV presenter Jesse Baird and his partner Luke Davies.
In the ongoing trial of former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, the NSW Supreme Court will take the jury inside the Paddington house where he allegedly murdered TV presenter Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Luke Davies on February 19, 2024. Justice Natalie Adams clarified that the visit is meant to give jurors a physical sense of the scene, not to serve as testimony. Court-released CCTV captured Lamarre-Condon walking the street in an Uber Eats uniform before the murders and returning later with cleaning equipment.
Senior Sergeant Bronwyn Lansley, the lead investigator, will guide the jurors through the home, highlighting forensic findings such as blood stains and DNA evidence linking both victims to the scene and a bullet recovered from the kitchen floor. The prosecution alleges an execution-style shooting of Baird and a subsequent shot to Davies as he attempted to call emergency services.
Why it matters
The case highlights concerns about former police officers' access to firearms and courtroom transparency.
