Kenny Bednarek posts world-leading 19.62 seconds in Zurich 200m

The Rice Lake High School graduate and two-time Olympic silver medalist captured the 200-metre title in Zurich, Switzerland, finishing 0.20 seconds ahead of his rivals. His time of 19.62 seconds edged out Jaden Reid's 19.63 set earlier in Eugene, Oregon. Although slightly slower than Bednarek's personal best of 19.57 from 2024, the performance matches the mark he posted when earning silver in Paris. The win adds to his record of podium finishes at the Tokyo and Paris Games.
