Kim Jong-un visits Dandong, praises new China‑North Korea bridge

Kim Jong-un travelled to Dandong, China, crossing the newly opened four‑lane bridge that links Sinuiju and Dandong. Accompanied by his sister Kim Yo Jong, foreign minister Choe Son Hui and other senior officials, he visited the Memorial Hall of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and laid a wreath. He met Chinese officials Wang Huning and Wang Yi, inspected a local bus factory, and was escorted back to the bridge for his departure.

While President Xi Jinping was not met directly, Kim thanked the Chinese side for its attention and described the bridge as a historic conduit linking the two peoples. The visit comes as both countries seek to reinforce their traditional partnership amid shifting regional ties.
