Kremlin says Putin will not meet Zelensky at Miami G20 summit
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a Putin-Zelensky encounter in Miami during the G20 is impossible, insisting any meeting could only occur in Moscow.
When asked about a possible face-to-face between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the upcoming G20 summit in Miami, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded that such a meeting cannot happen. He added that Putin would be willing to meet Zelensky, but only on Russian soil. Zelensky has indicated he would attend the summit and meet Putin if the United States extends an invitation to the Russian leader. The G20 is scheduled for December 14-15 at a golf resort owned by Donald Trump.
