Lando Norris clinches full points at Zandvoort as Verstappen crashes out

Lando Norris secured victory and the maximum 25 points at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, while Max Verstappen retired after an early crash.

After a sprint race on Saturday, Lando Norris started from pole at Zandvoord and dominated the Sunday Grand Prix, collecting the full 25 points. Max Verstappen spun and crashed into the wall on the opening lap, prompting a red-flag and ending his challenge. Kimi Antonelli moved into second place, preserving his lead in the drivers' standings, while Oscar Piastri, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton battled for the remaining podium spots.

Penalties for Franco Colapinto and Arvid Lindblad dropped them to the back, and a slow pit stop cost Piastri positions. Esteban Ocon retired, and both Haas cars fell out, leaving McLaren with a commanding result as the season heads toward its finale.

Why it matters

The win narrows the championship gap and shows McLaren challenging Red Bull's dominance.
