Liverpool faces £80m price tag for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh

Liverpool have been told Brighton value Yankuba Minteh at £80 million, and the club’s two bids, including a £60 million offer, have been rejected.

Jacobs Ben reports that Brighton & Hove Albion have placed an £80 million price on winger Yankuba Minteh. Liverpool have made two attempts to acquire him, the highest being a £60 million bid, both of which were rejected. The Merseyside club appears unwilling to increase its offer, a stance complicated by Minteh’s injury that sidelines him until November.

Seeking to fill the right-wing void left by Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have also struggled to secure Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, neither a natural right-winger. While Minteh brings pace and unpredictability, his Premier League tally of three goals and four assists in 34 games does not merit such a fee, leading analysts to advise Liverpool to walk away unless the price drops dramatically.

Why it matters

The transfer saga could shape Liverpool's squad rebuild and impact their financial commitments.
