Man killed in suspected hit-and-run involving a moped and e-bike in North Kensington
A 24-year-old cyclist died after a suspected hit-and-run on North Pole Road, with police saying the moped driver fled the scene.
Metropolitan Police received a call around 1.20 a.m. on Friday reporting a seriously injured man on North Pole Road, North Kensington. Upon arrival, officers pronounced a 24-year-old e-bike rider dead at the scene and notified his family. Surveillance footage appears to capture a moped striking the cyclist and then driving away, prompting a police cordon around the location.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Wilkins of Hammersmith and Fulham CID is heading the inquiry and stresses the need for witnesses to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call 101 and reference the case number.
