Más Madrid proposes Emilio Delgado to lead Madrid list, with Mónica García second

Más Madrid unveiled a pact that puts Emilio Delgado at the top of its Madrid constituency list, with party leader and health minister Mónica García in the second slot.

Más Madrid announced a new internal arrangement for the Madrid constituency, naming Emilio Delgado as the lead candidate and placing Mónica García, the party's leader and health minister, second. The list will also feature deputy Tesh Sidi and municipal spokesperson Eduardo Fernández Rubiño. The proposal seeks to bring together Izquierda Unida, Movimiento Sumar and, should it decide to join, Podemos under a single Front Amplio banner.

The move follows internal negotiations that resolved a previous crisis over the regional presidency race. At the same time, Gabriel Rufián was confirmed as the head of ERC's list for the Congress, and the party expressed optimism about forging a Catalan front. These steps are intended to consolidate the left-wing coalition ahead of upcoming general elections.

Why it matters

The lineup reshuffle could shape the left's strategy and voter appeal in Spain's upcoming national elections.
