Matthieu Pigasse slams Glucksmann as right-wing infiltrator ahead of 2027 race
Businessman Matthieu Pigasse labeled social-democratic presidential hopeful Glucksmann a right-wing infiltrator, dismissing his chances of reaching a second round.
Matthieu Pigasse, the entrepreneur behind Radio Nova, appeared on LCI and repeated a slogan popular among high-school protesters to criticize Glucksmann, the social-democratic candidate for the 2027 presidential election. He claimed Glucksmann is essentially a right-wing figure attempting to penetrate the left using a “Macronist” campaign apparatus. Pigasse dismissed Glummann’s prospects of advancing to a runoff, saying the left’s primary fails to generate any real dynamism.
He suggested that the only viable strategy to stop the far right is a unified left led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the head of the Insoumis movement. While rejecting the notion that the primary will produce a winner, Pigasse left the door open to a possible personal involvement in the 2027 race, positioning himself as a potential bridge for the left.
