Joaquim Miranda Sarmento delivered the 2027 State Budget to the Assembleia da República two days before the filing deadline, accompanied by senior officials.
The budget proposal was handed to the parliament at 14:15, with three secretaries of state and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Carlos Abreu Amorim present. Finance Minister Carlos Abreu Amorim had scheduled the submission for that time. Shortly after, President of the Assembly José Pedro Aguiar-Branco received the document.
