Mureșan's prospective cabinet mirrors Bolojan II with reshuffled ministries

The cabinet that Siegfried Mureșan intends to validate in Parliament is expected to look much like the earlier Bolojan II government, preserving a core of PNL, USR and UDMR ministers. Negotiations will focus on ministries that lost their heads after PSD left the coalition, with each portfolio offering two or three possible candidates. For the Interior Ministry, long-time minister Cătălin Predoiu is sidelined amid internal PNL disputes, and the shortlist includes Mircea Abrudean and Florin Roman, both linked to Ilie Bolojan's June team.

Defence may remain under Radu Miruță, though USR also mentions Bogdan Rodeanu as an alternative. USR is likely to claim the Transport, Justice, Health and Energy ministries, proposing names such as Horațiu Cosma, Stelian Ion, Adrian Wiener and Cristina Prună, while PNL puts forward figures like Alexandru Nazare, Sebastian Burduja and Gabriela Horga. UDMR candidates appear for Agriculture, Environment and other posts. The final composition will hinge on inter-party bargaining over these and other key portfolios.
