Negeri Sembilan leaders vow uninterrupted state administration amid political turmoil

In a two-hour session at Menara Dato’ Onn, Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi convened Negeri Sembilan BN legislators to discuss one outlet political crisis. Jalaluddin Alias, chair of the UMNO liaison committee, declared that preserving normal government functions is the highest priority for citizens' well-being. He noted that the Menteri Besar has several options to mobilise the administration even if the State Executive Council is incomplete, citing both constitutional and customary law frameworks.

Attendees included Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim and assemblymen from Chembong, Linggi and Sikamat, as well as BN and Perikatan Nasional backbench chairs. Zahid gave Ismail a full mandate to seek the best solution, including meetings with Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir and other traditional leaders, and affirmed that security remains under control, so no emergency declaration is required.
