Police stress neutrality while tightening security around Negeri Sembilan royal sites

In a statement, police chief Alzafny Ahmad asserted that the force remains impartial amid one outlet royal dispute in Negeri Sembilan, upholding the rule of law and constitutional processes. Officers have been stationed at several sites, including Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja’afar, Balai Undang Luak Sungei Ujong and Wisma Negeri, to ensure public safety. Following the palace’s declaration that the appointment of members to the state executive council (Exco) has been cancelled, police have cordoned off Wisma Negeri to prevent disruptions.

The measures are described as routine security actions based on risk assessments and venue management needs. Alzafny warned that these steps should not be interpreted as police endorsement of any side and called on citizens to respect ongoing legal proceedings and refrain from sharing unverified rumors.
