Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Surpasses Zuckerberg and Ellison to Rank Sixth Richest Globally

Nvidia’s shares surged after a strong earnings report, lifting CEO Jensen Huang’s net worth by $15.6 billion and placing him as the world’s sixth-richest person, ahead of Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison.

Nvidia reported quarterly revenue of $96.2 billion and earnings per share of $2.22, surpassing consensus estimates of $92.2 billion and $2.09, prompting the stock to climb 8.7% to $227.98. The surge added roughly $450 billion to the company’s valuation, raising it from $5.07 trillion to $5.52 trillion and reaffirming its position as the world’s most valuable firm ahead of Apple and Alphabet. As a result, CEO Jensen Huang’s net worth rose by $15.6 billion to $196.8 billion, overtaking Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Oracle’s Larry Ellison in the global wealth ranking.

CFO Colette Kress forecast a 70% revenue increase for fiscal year 2028, though Huang said actual demand is higher, constrained by supply shortages. Investment firms responded by raising price targets, with Raymond James moving its target to $515, Bernstein to $400, and JPMorgan to $320. Nvidia also disclosed plans to acquire AI model-hosting platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, more than doubling its prior valuation.
