Nvidia pours $3 billion into Meta as AI partnership on Muse deepens

Nvidia is investing $3 billion in Meta's equity raise while tightening collaboration on Meta's Muse AI assistant and related models.

Nvidia and Meta disclosed a $3 billion equity investment by the chipmaker as part of a broader effort to integrate Nvidia technology more closely with Meta’s Muse AI assistant. Muse, known inside Meta as Hatch, operates on Nvidia infrastructure and will be refined to boost speed and lower expenses, while giving users the ability to revoke data access. The collaboration could also involve Nvidia’s OpenShell platform and the Sentry system for overseeing AI agent behavior.

Earlier the same day, Meta expanded its equity offering to $97.5 billion, marking the biggest capital raise in the company’s history as it accelerates AI spending. The deal underscores Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s ambition to deliver “personal superintelligence” to its billions of users. Both companies see the partnership as a way to improve AI performance and safety.

Why it matters
