Packers urged to embrace a pass-first offense with Jordan Love in 2026

In the last two years the Packers have prioritized the ground game, ranking fifth in run share but slipping to 22nd in rushing efficiency, partly due to Josh Jacobs' heavy workload and a possible suspension. Jordan Love demonstrated strong performance in 2025 with a 101.2 passer rating, 23 touchdowns and a low interception count, placing him among the league's most efficient passers. The receiving corps is set to be healthier, with tight end Tucker Kraft returning from an ACL tear, Christian Watson reestablished as a top receiver, Jayden Reed expected to solidify the slot, and Matthew Golden positioned for a larger role after roster changes.

Coach Matt LaFleur and his staff are encouraged to grant Love more passing chances, provided the offensive line, especially left tackle Jordan Morgan, can secure protection. Embracing a pass-heavy approach could significantly improve the Packers' offensive output in the 2026 season.
