Penang leaders urge stronger PH-BN partnership for stability and development

Datuk Rashidi Zinol, chair of the Rural Development, Agro-technology and Food Security committee, emphasized that the PH-BN coalition in Penang should be reinforced to maintain political stability and protect citizens' interests. He highlighted a three-year period of effective collaboration with leaders from PKR and DAP, noting mutual respect, clear communication, and a shared focus on development. Rashidi warned that partisan disputes must not obstruct the smooth operation of the state administration.

His remarks respond to DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng's recent demand to drop UMNO from the state government, arguing the party no longer adds value while aligning with PN and PAS. He also reiterated support for the federal unity government to stay intact until the next election, stressing the importance of continuity for policy and welfare. Rashidi concluded by urging continued cooperation, respecting differences, and keeping the people's needs at the forefront.
