Philippine presidential and vice-presidential trust ratings shift slightly in September survey
A September 2026 Social Weather Stations poll shows President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s trust rating edged up, while Vice President Sara Duterte's slipped modestly.
Social Weather Stations released its September 2026 poll, which surveyed 1,500 Filipinos between 21 and 27 September. The results show President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. gained a slight boost in the share of respondents reporting strong trust, reversing a modest decline noted in the June poll. Vice President Sara Duterte, however, experienced a small dip in her strong-trust rating over the same period.
Trust levels varied by region: Marcos enjoyed the highest confidence in Luzon, while Duterte’s strongest support remained in Mindanao. Conversely, lower confidence for Marcos was most common in Mindanao and Visayas, and for Duterte in Luzon. The survey, commissioned by Stratbase Group, carries a ±3% margin of error.
