Pirates' Zdenek Hrib returns to Prague council while Motorists' Petr Macinka fails to win seat

Zdenek Hrib was elected again to the Prague City Council, whereas Petr Macinka and TOP 09’s Matěj Ondřej Havel did not secure seats.

In the 2026 municipal elections, Pirates chief Zdenek Hrib reclaimed a seat on the Prague City Council, entering from the tenth spot on the party list. ODS chairman Martin Kupka secured a victory in Liběnice, a town he once served as mayor, while his party captured the majority of votes there. Motorist party head Petr Macinka did not obtain a council seat in either the capital or the Prague-5 district, falling short of the five-percent threshold.

TOP 09’s Matěj Ondřej Havel also missed election in Hradec Králové, despite his candidacy being placed 32nd on the joint list. Other local successes included STAN’s Lukáš Vlček winning in Pacov and former environment minister Petr Hladík gaining a seat in Brno.
