PiS Voters Favor Przemysław Czarnek as Potential Successor to Kaczyński

A poll commissioned by Super one outlet and conducted by the Institute of Pollster Research asked 1,008 members of the Law and Justice electorate on September 1-2 whom they would prefer to lead the party if Jarosław Kaczyński stepped down. The majority selected Przemysław Czarnek, the party’s prime-ministerial candidate, as the favored successor, while parliamentary club chairman Mariusz Błaszczak was the next most popular option.

Other figures receiving notable support included former prime minister and current MEP Beata Szydło, eurodeputy Tobiasz Bocheński, former deputy prime minister Jacek Sasin and former justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro; a small share of respondents were unsure. In a concurrent CBOS study, the Civic Coalition edged ahead of Law and Justice, with Konfederacja trailing by a narrow margin, and smaller parties hovering around the electoral threshold. Voter intention to participate in the upcoming parliamentary election remained high.
