PKR chief urges leaders to prioritize Malaysia over party politics

At a post-run press briefing, PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil reaffirmed the party's stance that Malaysia's interests must come before partisan considerations, echoing Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's recent remarks at the PKR congress in Melaka. He dismissed proposals to force Umno out of the unity government, arguing that internal debate is natural for any political organization. Fahmi pointed to strong inter-party collaboration, citing regular cabinet meetings and joint activities as evidence of solid cooperation.
He mentioned the government's focus on challenges such as the Middle East conflict and recent resolution of fuel-supply issues. Additionally, he noted that Anwar, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Johari Abdul Ghani and Human Resources Minister R. Ramanan were in India for the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit to attract investment. Fahmi concluded that all leaders, regardless of party, must continue to work for Malaysia's benefit.
