Police dismantle overcrowded Ceuta flat housing 25 migrants, including six children

After neighbors reported a suspicious dwelling, the Guardia Civil carried out a raid on an apartment in the Real street area of Ceuta, uncovering 25 migrants living in extreme overcrowding, including six children. The occupants reportedly paid as much as 35 euros each night for the substandard accommodation, which showed no signs of proper hygiene. Police detained the two landlords, a male and a female, and began moving the migrants to police stations for processing and identity checks.

The action was supported by the Fiscal and Border companies, the municipal security unit (USECIC), the Guardia Civil’s information group, and the local police. This is not the first incident of hidden migrants in the city; a recent case involved a prison inmate who sheltered five migrants before attempting to ferry them to a boat. Authorities continue to investigate and secure the affected individuals.
