Around 15 Delhi Police officers were injured and about 110 people were detained during an Indian Youth Congress protest that marched toward Jantar Mantar.
On Sunday, an Indian Youth Congress march headed for Jantar Mantar sparked clashes with Delhi Police, leaving around 15 officers injured, including women who were bitten. The protest, organized by IYC National President Uday Bhanu Chib and accompanied by hundreds of youth workers, was blocked by barricades and a strong police deployment. About 110 demonstrators were taken into custody.
Speakers such as Roshani Jaiswal and legal coordinator Chitwan Godara called for Gyanesh Kumar's immediate resignation, alleging government protection. The protest follows a report that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi raised multiple objections over electoral roll decisions, which the Election Commission said were routine inputs.
