The operation was coordinated between the Mumbai Crime Branch and the Indore Crime Branch after the former shared intelligence about Thakran’s whereabouts. Thakran, originally from Sonipat, Haryana, had traveled to Indore for his brother’s treatment, giving investigators a chance to locate him.
