Police probe singer George Mazonakis' death amid conflicting clinic testimonies and possible third-party link

The Hellenic Police remain engaged in the inquiry into singer George Mazonakis' death after he was brought to a hospital deceased from a private location. Police initiated the case autonomously and have taken two persons into custody, with their legal responsibility to be determined by the judiciary. Investigators have highlighted that the sworn statements of the Kolonaki clinic staff differ in timing and other details from evidence uncovered later, prompting further interrogation of those employees.

Two forensic reports have already been submitted, and digital evidence, including phone-record analysis, is under examination. Authorities also warned that a third party could emerge from the investigation, and noted that no official complaint regarding the clinic had ever been recorded. Searches of the victim's and suspects' residences found no cash or safe.
