Polish minister blames Russia for Starlink sabotage as Denmark raises cyber threat level

Polish minister Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that a fire at a Starlink satellite station, owned by Elon Musk's company, was a deliberate sabotage carried out by Russia to cripple the site and interrupt internet connectivity for a range of institutions, notably the Ukrainian military. He argued the operation fits a newly emerging Russian doctrine of hybrid attacks. Starlink is considered vital for Ukrainian forces' communications.

At the same time, Denmark's board for societal security, SAMISK, raised the national cyber-attack threat level to high, warning of likely destructive Russian cyber operations against the country. The decision draws on intelligence from Denmark's foreign service (FE) and police intelligence (PET). The report also notes heightened tensions across neighboring states, including airspace violations in Poland and drone activity over Moldova and Romania, as Russia intensifies strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated that Moscow has no plans to attack NATO members, while Foreign Minister Sergej Lavrov warned that a European attack on Russia would trigger a brief but intense war.
