Poll Shows Casey Askar Ahead in Crowded Florida GOP Primary for Redrawn 22nd District

A poll of likely Republican primary voters in Florida’s newly redrawn 22nd Congressional District gave Casey Askar 16% support, three points ahead of Michael Carbonara and six points ahead of David Burke, while Belinda Keiser trailed by eight points. The poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 4.7 percentage points means the top three candidates remain statistically tied. The same poll showed Terri Hasdorff and Michael Thompson each at about five percent and Richard Evans below one percent. Campaign filings indicate Askar, Carbonara and Keiser have each contributed more than $2 million to their races.
