PP, PSOE and Vox hold campaign rallies ahead of Spain's 29N general election

The leaders of the PP, PSOE and Vox staged separate rallies in Vigo, Granada and Palma as the 29N general election approaches.

On Saturday, the main contenders for the Spanish premiership launched rallies in three cities: the PP's Alberto Núñez Feijóo in Vigo with regional leader Alfonso Rueda, the PSOE's Pedro Sánchez in Granada accompanied by María Jesús Montero, and Vox's Santiago Abascal in Palma. Simultaneously in Barcelona, ERC's Gabriel Rufián and Podemos' Irene Montero presented a joint appearance following a pact to include Podemos candidates on Esquerra's Catalan slates.

The gatherings highlight the parties' efforts to mobilise regional bases ahead of the 29N general election. Additionally, the government reiterated its anti-war stance in a video featuring Sánchez at the Reina Sofía museum, where he reflected on the symbolism of Picasso's Guernica. The campaign week also saw left-wing minister Pablo Bustinduy defending the pension system against right-wing criticism.
