Presidential hopeful Raphaël Glucksmann claims organized harassment by La France insoumise

Raphaël Glucksmann says La France insoumise is running a coordinated campaign that blocks his participation in protests.

Running as the social-democratic contender for the presidency, Raphaël Glucksmann alleged that La France insoumise is conducting a systematic harassment campaign against him. He explained to TF1 that, while he backs the young protesters, he avoids the rallies because La France insoumise activists repeatedly disrupt his events. Glucksmann said the hostility appears organized and questions why he is singled out while figures such as Gabriel Attal or Édouard Philippe are not.

He framed the attacks as resistance to his project of reviving the democratic left and confronting Marine Le Pen. Earlier, he noted similar hostility from “certain political groups” during a visit to Amiens, and he was previously heckled at a feminist gathering and a Paris town-hall protest against weekend violence.

Why it matters

The claim highlights internal tensions on the French left ahead of the presidential election.
