House prosecutors say they will cross-examine Vice President Sara Duterte if her lawyers present her as a witness when the Senate impeachment trial resumes on Nov. 9.

The Senate impeachment trial is set to restart on Nov. 9, and the defense may call Vice President Sara Duterte to testify. House prosecution adviser Robert Ace Barbers welcomed the prospect, noting that the team has prepared questions about her financial disclosures. Prosecutors intend to probe alleged unexplained wealth, undeclared assets and prohibited business interests that form the remaining charge. Barbers said the prosecution is ready to scrutinize any explanations Duterte offers under oath.
