PSD deputy slams false claim that US forced Bolojan government’s fall

In a Facebook post, PSD deputy Mihai Fifor attacked rumors suggesting the US ambassador in Athens claimed Washington ordered the fall of Ilie Bolojan’s government. He described the allegation as a "gross fake" and emphasized that Bolojan was ousted through a parliamentary majority vote, not foreign pressure. Fifor criticized the Bolojan administration for worsening the economy, soaring inflation, energy price hikes, and a collapsing health system, saying these failures justified the cabinet’s removal.

He accused supporters of the former premier of mocking Romanians and living in a "collective trance". Fifor also dismissed the notion that the United States dictated the political change, urging critics to focus on Romania’s own problems. Finally, he warned that any prolongation of Bolojan’s interim premiership would further plunge the country into poverty and desperation.
