RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat urges Hindu unity and respect for Muslims in US talk

During a New York forum hosted by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat asserted that Hinduism teaches the oneness of humanity and that any Hindu advocating the removal of Muslims from India is not adhering to Hindu principles. He explained that while religions may follow different rituals, the underlying truth and human dignity are shared. Bhagwat called for the protection of diversity as a natural law and stressed that unity is a universal constant.

He described truth as singular but expressed in many ways, noting that people are shaped by their mental frameworks. The event featured cultural performances and highlighted the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, meaning the world is one family. Bhagwat’s U.S. tour also included visits to diaspora communities, business leaders, the Bhakti Centre, and an ISKCON temple where he participated in a food-distribution effort.
