Russia claims drones struck cargo ship and Ukrainian logistics sites overnight

The Russian Defence Ministry said its drones hit a cargo vessel bound for Chornomorsk and three logistics facilities in Kharkiv during an overnight operation.

According to the Defence Ministry, a drone attack targeted a cargo ship heading to the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk, which it alleges was supplying Ukrainian forces. The same operation allegedly struck a logistics centre, a distribution centre and a logistics terminal in Kharkiv, all described as dual-use storage for the Ukrainian military. The ministry presented these claims as part of its ongoing campaign, but independent verification was not available.

Why it matters

It shows Russia's ongoing effort to disrupt Ukrainian supply lines amid the war.
